Owen - Newborn, Lifestyle Session in Fayetteville, NC

Here is a newborn, lifestyle Claire McLain Photography session in Fayetteville, NC capturing baby boy Owen at just a few weeks old. This session took place in this family of four (well, five including the fur baby) home on a Saturday morning. I started the session in the nursery, before moving to the family's favorite spots of their front porch and living room. Owen's sister was next to Mom and I throughout the entire session, showing that she had fully embraced the role of loving big sister.

Owen was so calm and happy the entire session. He had just had a bottle before my arrival, which I think helped ease him into a nap shortly after our session began. Another newborn session tip for a calm baby is to keep a baby/sleep sound machine on in the room. This all made for a handsome and easy to work with model. Mom, dad, sister, and their dog all joined in for photos. There may have been some negotiating and snacks offered to keep the older sister (age 3) interested and smiling.

Lifestyle, newborn photo sessions are so special for me to capture because I capture the moment of a new baby and the home they've created for this child. These photos only increase in value and will always bring the family back to such a special moment.

Photos were shot on the Canon R6 with a 50mm lens. Additionally, Indoor photos were shot with a Godox Flash and Magmod diffuser. The outdoor light was full sun. Photos were taken mid-morning.
