5th Birthday Party Celebration in Bunnlevel, NC

This SpongeBob themed 5th Birthday Party was captured by Claire McLain Photography in Bunnlevel, NC on a hot summer evening. While driving to this event, I was worried I may not be able to tell which home was hosting the party. My concerns were instantly relieved when I noticed a massive, inflatable waterslide and their festive decor. As I pulled up, I could tell this was going to be a fun, upbeat party!

The birthday boy's mom made the SpongeBob decor that decorated both the house and patio. I was so impressed by her skill and creativity! The home and yard were being fully enjoyed by the family, neighbors, and friends that had come to celebrate. The waterslide and corn hole game were the biggest hits!

I started photographing the event by taking photos of the decor, food, and gifts. Then I spent most of the event taking both candid and posed photos of the family and guests. I made sure to switch from my event lens to my portrait lens for family photos. We even were able to gather all the kids together for a fun group photo!

Photos were shot on the Canon R6 with a 24-70mm and 50mm lens. The sky varied throughout the party from clear to cloudy due to a thunderstorm being close to Bunnlevel, NC. Photos were shot in the early evening; a few hours before sunset.
