80th Birthday Celebration Event at Highland Country Club, NC

On Friday evening in Fayetteville, NC, Claire McLain Photography photographed a large 80th Birthday Celebration at the Highland Country Club. The party took place in a large reception room with a beautiful patio that overlooked the golf course. The party was packed the whole evening with the guests catching-up with friends and family, dancing, and enjoying delicious food.

The party started with a quick speech by the host and the guest of honor, who wears the beloved title of "Grandma" to most. Grandma called all of her friends over the age of 80 to the dance floor to show that age doesn't limit the life you can live. Then dinner and dancing began, while the immediate family slipped out to the patio and golf course for quick family portraits.

Shortly after dinner, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Grandma. What a beautiful song to hear with so many voices singing. I can only hope to be as loved one day as Grandma. Her party was a lively event that went into the night. I hope her family enjoys and treasures the photos for years to come..

Photos were shot on the Canon R6 with a 24-70mm lens, a Godox Flash, and Magmod diffuser. The photos were taken indoors with mostly overhead lighting, but had some natural light from large windows overlooking the golf course. Photos were shot roughly an hour before sunset to an hour after sunset.
