Caitlyn and Coby had an early fall sunset session with Claire McLain Photography in Fayetteville, NC. This young, married couple was a joy to capture in front of the camera and get to know. Caitlyn wore a beautiful boho, light blue dress and Coby wore a navy blue button-up shirt. We swapped stories and laughs throughout the evening. During the session, I had the couple try a few new photography prompts. One they enjoyed was to walk towards the camera as I take photos while "pretending to be drunk." This prompt always gets a few laughs and loosens up the clients. For this reason, I like to use this prompt at the beginning of a session. Then, I have each person take turns leading the other and try to create funny scenarios for them to enact (i.e. how would you get home through crowded streets). I made a reel with this prompt featuring Caitlyn and Coby on the Claire McLain Photography Instagram page here. This is a great tip to try at any couples session!

Photos were shot on the Canon R6 with a 50mm lens. Photos were shot an hour before sunset with a clear sky. This gave us a gorgeous golden hour.
